Website Design
My start in web design began when I applied for a job and received a reply asking for a website to view my portfolio. Not having one, I quickly whipped something up on Squarespace, and luckily got the job. Since then, although not a main focus of mine, I've enjoyed designing and implementing websites, whether for my business, my personal portfolio (this one), or for friends and family. I started out using Squarespace, Wix, and other CMS's, but have more recently been coding websites from scratch, writing in Astro, CSS, and HTML.
My approach to web design is centered around simplicity and user experience. I believe that a website should be easy to navigate, visually appealing, and provide value to the user. I focus on clean layouts, intuitive navigation, and responsive design to ensure that the site looks great on all devices.
Designing websites has taught me the importance of performance optimization, accessibility, and user-centric design. These principles not only enhance the user experience but also ensure that the site is inclusive and efficient across various devices and network conditions.
