Surfboard Nightlight
After visiting my older brother's new apartment, I noticed he lacked a good nightlight. I decided to make one for him. As an avid surfer, I wanted something that would complement the aesthetic of his space and be highly functional.
After a quick brainstorm, we came up with an original idea: a simple bathroom light shaped like a surfboard. Something simple and clean, that would first be functional but still look good.
Once I printed the first prototype, I realized the light was too bright and would also reveal any internal cavities if present. After working in Fusion 360 for the first few prototypes, I realized it would be a lot easier in Rhino /Grasshopper, where I could make quicker tweaks between prototypes. I ended up with a final design that I'm happy with, and my brother loves using it every night.
